UNDERSTANDING RELIGION
Religion has overtime been a tool for social-cultural systems which includes designated behavioral patterns, practices, morals, beliefs, worldview, prophecies, ethics, the supernatural and the spiritual elements that be. Simply put, religion has been a huge instigator for recognition in society and there are certain benefits people tend to have when they are part of certain religious groups.
UNDERSTANDING ATHEISM
Atheism in the broadcast sense is an absence of belief in the existence of deities, higher powers or God. In a less broader explanation it's is the refusal to accept the existence of a God. While some people belief in the existence of a higher power but choose to defy religious expectations (agnostics) and rather settle to subtly accept the existence of a higher being as they mostly use that as a factor to negate some unethical teachings of religion.
WHAT RELIGION SAYS ABOUT ATHEISM
Religion believes that atheism tends to exist because man believes that God takes no notice of human behavior, either to reward them or punish them and holy books of religion have constantly pointed out dire consequences of not being a part of those religious groups. There by invariably classifying it as Sin or blasphemous and it's consequences is total damnation.
WHAT ATHEISM SAYS ABOUT RELIGION
Ultimately, atheists overtime believe that religion has been a tool used to weaponize hatred, moral standards and barbarism. They also believe that Institutions that sought out to do religious practices do so because of greedy expectations. Either maybe to mislead their followers, deceive them into enriching their individual pockets and inculcating them with harmful knowledge that would make them behave out of line towards other people who are unbelievers. Atheists are often defiant and very knowledgeable about religion before deciding not to be a part of it.
CAN ATHEISM AND RELIGION EVER REACH A CONSENSUS ?
Truth be told that there are a lot of unraveling stories that makes atheists double down on their decision to be defiant and those who are religious to either subsequently become defiant, decide to cherry pick the aspects of religion they choose to identify with or even those who still choose to remain religions and uphold every religious teaching that will grant them a place in the afterlife. The conflicts will never cease because opposing institutions believe without any reasonable doubts that their decisions are solely tethered to their individual moral standards.
